lyrics
What's always left behind
Is always what I shouldn't leave
It must have slipped my mind
Life it got the best of me
And I'm afraid
To be this way
I couldn't be alright
I wasted all my energy
And I'm afraid
To feel this way
'Cause I know who I am
From the palms of my hands
And my nails cutting in to my skin
I tell myself I'm someone else
And think I'll just give in
And I'm afraid
To be this way
And I'm afraid
To feel this way
'Cause I know who I am
From the palms of my hands
And my nails cutting in to my skin
I tell myself I'm someone else
And think I'll just give in

So many amazing, beautiful songs on this album. Gives me so much hope for what's to come from this duo and everyone making music in this genre. the_technology
Sonically this song in particular reminds me of the countless hours I spent as a kid trying to sleep, and in turn becoming so tired I could have sworn Peter Pan and friends appeared with a magic carpet at night to whisk me on an adventure. Just to be clear, my dodgy Spanish knows better, the lyrics don't quite share the same tale, ha. Dark yet beautiful, and extremely thought provoking. I love this band. whatwasthatradio
Rickety, rollicking guitar-pop driven by Jilian Medford's disarmingly off-kilter delivery. Available on limited-edition colored vinyl. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 18, 2016
The London band's new album is a vibrant postcard from southern Italy, boosted by brass, strings, and pizzica percussion from local players. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 14, 2024
